Dr. Richardson was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He is a second-generation dentist. After graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Hope College with a major in Biology and minor in Religion. While there he met his future wife, Tina. They were married during his freshmen year at Northwestern University Dental School. Mark loved living in downtown Chicago for 4 years and enjoys bringing his family back to visit. He graduated from Northwestern Dental School in 1992 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was excited to move back to Kalamazoo and start his own practice in his grandpa's house, where his dad was already a dentist.
Mark and Tina have three children, Brandon, Justin, and Stephanie. His oldest son graduated from Hope College and is currently studying at Central Michigan University to obtain his doctorate in Physical Therapy. His middle son is currently attending Colorado School of Mines. He is working on his masters in Advanced Energy Systems. His daughter is a sophomore at Hope College. Dr. Richardson enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering at different events. He travels to Honduras every year on a medical/ dental mission trip through the Luke Society. He travels to different villages in the mountains with other dentists and helpers to treat the needy of that area. He looks forward to going again soon. His hobbies and interests include golfing, exercising, playing softball and enjoying the outdoors.
Brenda has lived in the Kalamazoo area her whole life. After graduating from Gull Lake High School she worked in the medical field for 20+ years. She began working for Dr. Richardson in 1997. She is the first friendly face you meet when you walk through the door. She loves interacting with patients and the 'small town' atmosphere at our office. She is here to answer any of your questions regarding your dental needs and insurance benefits. Outside of the office she enjoys walking, gardening, knitting and spending time with friends and family.
Lisa, along with her husband, moved to the Kalamazoo area in 2013 from Wisconsin. They have an adult son that stayed behind to pursue his career and education. She began working as a Dental Hygiene sub in our office in January 2015, and is now officially an employee. Lisa graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in May 1983, with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She always strives for excellence in her life and career, and really enjoys meeting and educating her patients. Her openness and outgoing personality are definite assets to our office. She will make your dental experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Since moving to Michigan, she and her husband are really enjoying lake life which includes lots of boating and swimming with family, friends, and neighbors. Her other interests are biking, walking, gardening, and traveling to Wisconsin and to warmer climates whenever possible.
